Delivery / Shipping

ALL YUMIKO CLOTHING is HAND MADE and most often MADE TO ORDER. Therefore, production can be lengthy. Every YUMIKO piece is handmade in our own YUMIKO workshop in southern Spain. We produce there to ensure both the highest quality possible and a good and humane working environment for our employees. There are strict working conditions and laws that we must adhere to, including government mandated holidays and days off. These factors will affect your production times. During holiday and peak periods, orders will take longer than our usual production and shipping timelines. In these busy times, orders can take up to 12 weeks to be produced and shipped. As order volumes can vary significantly, we’re unable to give exact delivery estimates at the time of purchase. Extended processing times typically occur during our busiest and vacation periods, especially Christmas (November–January) and the summer holiday period (August–September). We truly appreciate your patience and understanding during these times and want to thank you for your support while we carefully produce and ship each order.

The turnaround time for an order that we declare at the point of sale does not reflect the additional time that it takes for the order to get to you, it is merely the production time. Once the order has left our workshop we cannot promise or give an exact date of delivery for a number of reasons, because we have no control on the different postal services that will handle the packages. Any claims or complaints in relation to a time after the shipment of your order, you must file with the according delivery service. If your order is returned to us as undeliverable, we will notify you immediately to arrange to resend the package.

YUMIKO is not responsible for items damaged, lost or stolen in the mail.

To minimize the risk of damage or loss we will happily ship your packages using a preferred service. To do so, please contact us when placing your order straightaway so that we can account for this.

Shipping

We ship worldwide using standard post for orders of 15 items or less. For orders of 15 items or more we ship with an expedited service, such as UPS, FedEx, or similar. For all U.S. orders shipped within the U.S., a signature is required upon delivery. All U.S. orders shipped outside of the country will be sent using expedited service with tracking. This does not include shipments within Japan or the EU.

Shipping time is separate from that spent on production. It is dependent on both the chosen shipping method, and the address of the recipient.

The recipient is responsible for all import duties, taxes, and extra costs associated with package entering the destination country.

If your package is returned because the address is incorrect, not found, or because the package was unclaimed, we will not resend the package without additional payment for the cost of resending. Naturally, if it's our mistake there is no extra charge. Please make sure your address is correct, current, and that there is always someone available to claim the package.

YUMIKO has the right to cancel and refund customers' money because of a pricing error or for any reason.

 

Delivery Updates for Israel

Due to the ongoing political situation in the Middle East, shipments may experience significant delays. In some cases, delivery times could extend up to 8 weeks.

At Yumiko, we keep our promise to produce all orders within the advertised 6–8 week production time.

We use Deutsche Post/DHL for international shipping; upon arrival in the destination country, the package is handed over to the local postal service for final delivery.

Please understand that we cannot access the local postal tracking website, as it is completely restricted and not available to us. While we cannot provide updates ourselves, customers in Israel can continue to track their shipment directly on the Israeli Postal website using the same tracking number provided in the shipping confirmation email once the package arrives in the country.

We remain committed to servicing all of our customers, and our aim is to ensure that all deliveries are handled as efficiently and smoothly as possible. At this time, we can no longer accurately predict or guarantee delivery times, as the final delivery is handled locally.
